QKD Xplore

Overview
QKD Xplore is an educational web application built during the Quantum Valley National Hackathon, where our team advanced to the finals. The goal of the project was to simplify and visualize complex concepts in quantum communication, specifically Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), through an interactive and engaging learning experience. We designed QKD Xplore as a virtual lab that combines 3D animations with real-time simulations of QKD protocols. This allows users to not only understand the theory but also see how secure quantum communication works in practice. My role involved working on both the product design and development, focusing on creating intuitive user flows, interactive visualizations, and a seamless interface that makes complex topics more accessible.
Results
QKD Xplore successfully translated abstract quantum concepts into an interactive learning experience, making it easier for students and enthusiasts to grasp QKD protocols. The combination of 3D visuals and simulations significantly improved user engagement and understanding compared to traditional learning methods. The project’s innovation and execution helped us secure a finalist position at the hackathon, validating both the technical depth and user-centric approach of the solution. It also demonstrated the ability to rapidly design and build a complex, high-impact product within a limited timeframe.
